BENEDICT AKIKA: OGUNJOBI REJOICES OVER RELEASE BY KIDNAPPERS

Chief Abiodun Samuel Ogunjobi. A. K. A. Te-Sojue has rejoiced with Agbaakin Benedict Akika on his release by kidnappers who had kept him captive for about one week.

Akika was kidnapped last week by unknown gunmen at his Olorunda residence and taken to an unknown destination. He was however released on Wednesday.

Speaking at his Ikeja, Lagos residence yesterday, Ogunjobi said that Akika was released alive is an act of God.

He said such a good man, a philanthropist and a man with a large heart deserves better from society. Akika has given so much to society and humanity that he should never have been so treated.

Ogunjobi prayed that God will heal whatever physical or mental trauma the ally of Governor Makinde has passed through.

Abiodun also enjoined government and security agents to take the issue of security of life and property as first line charge.

The first business of governments at any level is the security of life and property of the people.

He also rejoiced with Governor Makinde, the peoples of Lagelu and Ibadan North East Local Governments, the Akika family, members of the Omituntun Benedict Forum (OBF) and friends and well wishers for the release of their loved one.

Chief Abiodun Samuel Ogunjobi is the Ashiwaju of Oje in Ibadan.
